Southern Iowa Resources for Families, earlier known as Southwest Iowa Residential Facilities, is a private, nonprofit organization that serves individuals with physical and mental disabilities and their families. The organization provides crisis child care services for Adair, Adams and Union counties in southern Iowa. It offers home- and community-based services for people with chronic mental illnesses. Southern Iowa Resources for Families also provides respite care and daily living assistance services for senior citizens. The organization offers on-site vocational assessment, job coaching, time management and employer consultation solutions. In addition, it assists individuals in obtaining physical modifications. Southern Iowa Resources for Families provides consumer-directed attendant care solutions.
