Rural Human Services is a nonprofit agency that provides services and assistance to Del Norte County, Calif. It has partnerships with the Economic Development Authority, the Rape Crisis Center and the Smith River Alliance. The agency offers assistance in creating business plans and overcoming start-up hurdles. Rural Human Services also assists in finding and keeping good employees and offers training to improve current employee s skills. It conducts computer classes to teach basic computer and Internet usage. The agency also offers custom programs for older youths who are seeking careers, employment and training. In addition, Rural Human Services provides shelter for women and children affected by domestic violence. It is located in Crescent City, Calif.
