I like the new format and layout of the Forest Republican. I also like the letters to the editor about poiltical issues. Coverage of sports is good but wish we could get additional local news, new businesses, economic development gossip etc The paper is mostly about Crandon so would like to see more news of other towns. What about a weekly column by DNR or UW Extension staff about issues important to Northwoods. Or a column by the state Senator or Representative. Still enjoy the paper and I'm glad we started getting it this winter.

Paper has been getting smaller and smaller and content less and less, yet, subscription rates haven't declined. It used to be a good source of community info, now, not so much. We've been long-time subscribers, but will not renew the next time around. The value is no longer there. Forget journalism in their work, it is more like commercial writing kowtowing to the local businesses.
