Established in 1910 as Franklin Limestone Company, Franklin Industrial Minerals is one of the leading suppliers of industrial and agricultural minerals in the United States. It produces calcium carbonate, alumina trihydrate (ATH), and crushed and ground limestone. The company manufactures and ships more than 5 million tons of minerals every year to over 3,000 customers in the form of nearly 200 different products. Franklin Industrial Minerals serves the glass, fiberglass, carpet, paint, plastics, rubber, animal feeds, fertilizer, roofing products, construction materials, ceramics and tile industries. With approximately 10 mining and processing facilities in Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Florida, Franklin Industrial Minerals maintains a location in Crab Orchard, Tenn.
