General Info

Dr. McCarty is a Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon; he completed a Fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the University of Alabama - Birmingham and has extensive training in all aspects of surgery on the arm including peripheral nerve surgery. Prior to his fellowship, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Tulane University where he had significant exposure to orthopedic trauma and sports medicine. In addition to treating injuries of the upper extremity, Dr. McCarty looks forward to providing urgent orthopedic care through the OrthoCare clinic. Dr. McCarty grew up in Meridian, MS. He graduated from Millsaps College and received his MD from the University of Mississippi - School of Medicine. He and his family live in Covington, LA.
