Newton County Fire Services is a division of the Newton County Board of Commissioners. It offers fire protection and emergency medical services. It offers 24-hour emergency services and has more than five volunteer stations. The division also offers fire safety education in schools and commercial sites and its staff are trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It has a fleet of vehicles that includes fire engines and rescue wagons. The division also organizes workshops on fire suppression techniques for hospitals and shopping centers. It has a staff of more than 50 firefighters. Newton County Fire Services has its office located in Covington, Ga.
