The Yavapai County Adult Probation Department conducts presentence investigations and community supervision of defendants placed on probation by courts. Located in Cottonwood, Ariz., the department offers counseling, surveillance and employment assistance services. It also provides screening and risk management services. The Yavapai County Adult Probation Department has a staff of more than 100 employees and supervises over 2,000 probationers in the community. In addition, the department offers substance abuse treatment and case management services. The Yavapai County Adult Probation Department additionally provides volunteering work by probationers at various nonprofit agencies within the community. The department administers the Work Furlough program, which allows sentenced inmates to maintain their employment.
