Davis-Emerson Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. It has various academic departments, such as mathematics, science, language arts and social studies. The school additionally conducts classes in art, music and physical education. Davis-Emerson Middle School also provides gifted and talented education. It supports a student council and band and choir clubs. The school has an athletics department that offers a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, cheerleading, football, golf, softball and volleyball. Davis-Emerson Middle School s library stocks more than 11,000 books, magazines, newspapers and encyclopedias. In addition, it has a guidance department that provides counseling services for various personal and social issues. The school is located in Cottondale, Ala., and is a part of the Tuscaloosa County School System.
