I can not say enough good about Ryan Thurman ad Thurman Marine. I have used numerous times for minor repair, and general maintenance and he has done an excellent job for me the last 5 years. He really cares about his customers and is fair priced.

Boat was taken here because it would not maintain RPM on plane. It would back down on its own. The shop guessed at the problem and I paid for that guess. 6 weeks later and after only 3 trips (approx. 4hrs run time) to the water the outboard did the same thing. I took it back expecting them to fix the problem I originally took it in for. Sadly, the owner found water in my fuel and I had to pay for another shop visit. This was due to the shop not being liable for what was in my fuel tank. Ok I get that but it stands to reason that this was likely the original issue to begin with yet I paid for them to guess at what the problem was. The owner disagreed with me and said that I experienced multiple problems all with the same symptoms. RIGHT! Lets just keep changing parts until we fix it and you will pay. Don't take your boat here, you won't be happy with the experience or the price.

I would never recommend these people. They were asked to do some wiring and repairs that should have taken 2 days at the most. It took 3 weeks and then was thousands of dollars above what was quoted. He had ample opportunity to warn me that the labor was racking up at 100$ an hour. Such gouging should be illegal. Do not hire these people. If you must.... Pay by the job. Shady. Obviously not trying to win repeat business. Very sad. Oh... And the repairs were done poorly.
