General Info
Hello, my name is Rebecca Story. I am a State Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) insured by ABMP. I studied at the Everest College in Ontario, California for my Massage Therapy training and graduated May 09. I have been a working CMT since June 09. My first job out of school was for a chiropractic office. While I was there I started to build my clientele by working with many clients with medical issues such as sciatica, frozen shoulder and other pinched nerves in the body. I also did the physical therapy in the back with all the clients such as myostem therapy (tens unit), ultrasound therapy and heat/ice therapy. I have worked for other facilities such as Massage Envy, Burke Williams, Total Woman Gym & Spa and Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa. I work privately out of my home here in Corona, Ca, provide mobile massage to the IE and North OC, as well as working for Massage Envy Spa in Yorba Linda. The massage modalities/areas I specialize in are: Customized Massage, Deep Tissue, Stretching, Neck/Shoulders (Military Spine, Migraines) and Lower Back/Glutes (Sciatica Pain) and Fibromyaglia (chronic pain). My journey to become a CMT started back when I was 14. My mother has a degenerative bone condition and because she is in so much pain I would massage her to give her some relief. What was once just a hobby had grown into a passion. I have learned throughout the years that I am a therapeutic healer. I was born with this gift and it would be a waste for me to not use it. When I was 20 years old I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. (If you don't know what this is here's a brief description: it's a chronic widespread pain that is caused by the misfiring of the nerves in your body.) Even though dealing with this condition I still make it through day by day and know that there is always someone out there that has it worse off then I do. Since I live with this condition everyday instead of looking at it in a negative manner I use the knowledge i have gained throughout the years by connecting on a deeper level with my clients and educating them. I am able to tell them "Hey, I truly know how you feel because I live with it and feel it every day." I feel this is what makes me stand out opposed to other therapists and makes me one of a kind. I feel that God will never give you more than you can handle and because of that that's why I can do my job and do it well even under tough circumstances.
