Cornell Area Care is a medical center that provides skilled nursing care and short-term rehabilitation solutions. It is a 40-plus-bed facility that serves patients in Chippewa, Rusk, Taylor and Eau Claire counties in Wisconsin. The center also offers respiratory, cancer recovery and digestive disease support services. Cornell Area Care provides case management, discharge planning and respite, palliative and hospice care solutions. In addition, it organizes social and cultural activities. The center offers physical and occupational therapies. Cornell Area Care additionally maintains a therapy gymnasium with private treatment areas. As a part of Extendicare, the center features a screened outdoor pavilion and private dining room.
