The two main divisions of Progress Rail are Engineering & Track Services and Locomotive and Railcar Services and services to the North American railway industry. The Engineering & Track Services provides the industry with products that include new and reconditioned track work, new and relay rail, rail welding, rail flaw detection, new and used equipment, grade crossing signals and rail take up services. The Locomotive & Railcar Services division consists of several operating entities that specialize in heavy equipment items for railcars and locomotives. Based in Albertville, Al, Progress Rail Service operates facilities in more than 20 states, including a service center in Corbin, Ky., as well as facilities in Canada and Mexico.
