Provided by YP.comThey sold me their rental car insurance even though I have Allstate insurance and I was paying with a Visa credit card. The Enterprise agent told me that I needed it because going through my own insurance or a credit card would be too much hassle if I were to have an accident in their vehicle. I figured that I didn't want anymore hassles after I was involved in a hit-and-run accident with my vehicle and I was paying out-of-pocket for this rental car while my car was at the A-1 Body & Glass body shop getting fixed. The next day I called my Allstate agent who told me that it was unnecessary to have the Enterprise insurance and that my own insurance would provide more than adequate coverage. He told me to call and ask them to remove it for the rest of the time that I rented the car from them. I called and they took it off no questions asked.
The second problem (the main reason why I'm writing this review) was that they gave me a car that smelled like cigarette smoke. When I got home I called them to ask if I could exchange it for another one and the man I spoke with told me no problem, just bring it back. I asked him if I could go to the Enterprise that was near my house to exchange it and he said yes. The next day I exchanged the midsize sedan I originally got for a small compact car because that's all that the Enterprise near my house had available at the time. The agent at this Enterprise told me that I would pay less since I was taking a smaller vehicle. When I got home I called the original Enterprise just to make sure they would make this price adjustment and the woman I spoke with got upset and told me that they were already giving me their best rate and that there would be no price adjustment. I don't know why she sounded angry on the phone but that's not the way to treat a customer even if they were giving me the best price they could offer. I suppose that it has something to do with getting a lesser commission. I ended up paying $27.50 + tax per day for a small compact vehicle and one day of unnecessary car rental insurance. What a rip-off!
