My family and I recently joined Deering Bay Yacht and Country Club and we could not be happier! We do not live on-site, but usually head to the clubhouse about once a week for a gourmet dinner (my personal favorite is the shrimp scampi). We also usually spend our Saturdays there, where my husband and son play golf on the Arnold Palmer Signature Course and I usually lounge by the pool or play tennis with my daughter. It has a real resort-like atmosphere and we love coming and relaxing from the stress of the work week.

Frequently referred to as South Florida's hidden gem, Deering Bay's Arnold Palmer designed, 6,740 yard, par 71 golf course that meanders through mangrove forests along Biscayne Bay is the perfect backdrop to a wonderful dining and social experience our family had last week.Apparently, the club completed a $5M renovation in 2007 and complemented their phenomenal food and service from last week with even better surroundings in their bar, various dining rooms and banquet areas. We had some of the freshest seafood (Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass) and some of the finest cuts of meat (Roasted Rack of Colorado Lamb).All in all, Deering Bay is some of the best Country Club food we've ever had and we're considering joining so that we can experience it year round. Plus, the golf course looked pretty challenging and the scenery was amazing!
