My caps were done nicely, but there was a problem with the initial lab who did the temporary caps that I wore for weeks. My complaint about the cosmetic appearance & fit of the temporary caps, caused him to get a different lab to do the final caps, and he gave me a small discount off the final (thousands) price. He has never gone back to that lab again.However, I JUST FOUND A NEW DENTIST TODAY, because when part of a tooth broke off recently, Dr. Lecca's price for a "porcelain over gold" crown was $1,100 plus a $70 office visit to evaluate the broken tooth, plus $28 for the one X-Ray. This came to a total of $1,198! My friend recommended her dentist of 10 years and she was very pleased with the quality of his work and service. His price is $950 plus $24 for an X-Ray. The new dentist's $950 price would have included his office visit to evaluate the broken tooth. So by going to a new, highly recommended dentist, I will be saving = $1,198 - $974 = $224 on future crowns.
