I rented from the Longings for six years and the entire time water ran out of from the refrigerator onto the floor. I called about it and the "maintenance man" would come and claim it was fixed but it never was. He faked a repair three times and then I just gave up and kept a bowl in the fridge to catch the water. Then the ladie who lived in a nearby apt. her son would get drunk and beat her and sometimes he would cuss me out and threaten to do me bodily harm so I would tell the Longings and they would say there was nothing they could do about it. Also one tenant would let her garbge rot in the house and it stunk up the whole place and they wouldn't do anything about that either. They made all the tenants pay $15 a month for the one broken down dumpster to get emptied by the city every week. When it rained there would be standing water behind my apartment and mosquitos would breed because their was not good drainage. Laundry room and halls cleaned at random --roaches galore

i seen a house that belong to the longings an i had called several times an when i did get an answer mr.longing told me the house was already rented with an attitude so rode by were the house was an it's empty an no one is staying there an this been a week ago an no one still live there that threw me off as why he didnt tell the truth so i will not reccomend no one to them

Beth and Steve Longing give the impression that they have an upscale apartment complex with a quiet atmosphere and the security, services, and amenities one would expect for the price of the apartments. THIS IS UNTRUE. They are dishonest, shady, rude, and you will regret renting from them. When I signed my lease I was told the date I could move in. They kept pushing back the date by nearly a month, and eventually increased the price of my rent. They said that the enclosed hallways were cleaned regularly by a maid, but they were untouched. They were filthy, covered in HUGE spiderwebs with dead insects trapped in them, and in the summer several wasp nests were in the hallway. When I moved out, I asked to have my mail forwarded, but never received any. After a month, I called the office and asked if I had received any, and was told rudely that I had none and that they would have let me know if I did. I was asked to stop calling. The VERY next day, I received a call and was told very rudely that I had an enormous "pile" of mail at the office, in a manner that suggested I had never asked for it. After over a month I received a notice in the mail detailing the deductions from my $425 deposit. It claimed that my apartment had a "strong pet and pet urine odor" and my ENTIRE deposit was forfeited. I did not have pets, but I still lost my entire deposit. Please, for your own sake, DO NOT rent from Longing Rentals!
