Established in 1983, Tri-County Mental Health Mental Retardation Services, also known as MHMR, is a mental health care organization that serves the behavior management needs of individuals in Montgomery, Liberty and Walker counties in Texas. It offers mental health counseling, psychological evaluation and health status evaluation services. Tri-County Mental Health Mental Retardation Services provides prevention, alcohol and substance abuse addiction treatment and crisis resolution services. It also offers in-patient psychiatric assessment and mental retardation diagnosis and evaluation, as well as employment services for people with mental impairments through a contract with the Texas Department of Highways. With more than 230 employees, the organization serves over 5,000 people annually. Tri-County Mental Health Mental Retardation Services maintains a location in Conroe, Texas.
