Cabarrus County Jail, located in Concord, N.C., is operated by the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office. Cabarrus County Jail has two wings that contain more than 20 cell blocks and oner140 beds to house prisoners. Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office operates through its various divisions, including animal control, bomb disposal, communications, community police, investigations, lake enforcement, patrol and training division. Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office offers various programs, including crime stopper, home check and home safe programs. Its animal control division provides various services, such as rabies control, dog investigation and enforcement, nuisance abatement, animal facility operation, stray animal control, trapping of wild dogs and cats, and loan traps for trapping wild dogs and cats.
