Founded in 1972, The Center for Human Development is a nonprofit, community-based organization that offers a range of support services for at-risk youths, individuals, families and communities. It administers various wellness, youth leadership, conflict resolution, educational, training and parenting skills programs. The Center for Human Development also conducts Project SUCCESS, which is an alcohol and drugs prevention program that offers mentoring services for youths. It also provides the Empowerment Program, which offers HIV prevention and advocacy services for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youths. The Center for Human Development s main office in located in Pleasant Hill, Calif.
