Founded in 1921, Oakland Family Services is a nonprofit human service organization. It offers behavioral health, geriatric, treatment, educational and preventional services throughout southeastern Michigan. The organization also provides professional support, guidance and counseling services. Oakland Family Services serves more than 20,000 children, adolescents and senior every year. In addition, it offers substance abuse treatment and children placement services. The organization provides employee assistance, foster care and adoption services, as well as alcohol and drug abuse and infant mental health treatment services. Oakland Family Services is a member of the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, United Way for Southeastern Michigan and Alliance for Children and Families.
