My husband surprised me with a cooking class with Dawn and I can't tell you how much fun it was. She has written an excellent cookbook "Romance Begins in the Kitchen" and specializes in Italian, French and Southwestern cuisines. A couple times a year Dawn takes groups to Italy for a cooking class tours through the Community House in Birmingham, Michigan. We're planning to go with her next year. Her private classes are reasonably priced $50/hr per person. She teaches you many quick and easy tricks for preparing wonderful meals in 30 minuites of less. We're planning to go back with another couple for a "Cooking Class Party" for my upcoming birthday. Her classes make great gifts too.
