Dr. Lionel Meadows, board-certified cosmetic surgeon and OB/GYN, received dual degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Meadows then went on to the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta receiving his Doctorate of Medicine. He then completed his residency at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. Dr. Meadows practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Toccoa, Georgia for more than a decade, specializing in modern women's care. As dedicated as Dr. Meadows is, he went on to become more specialized in the field of cosmetic surgery. He trained with top surgeons in New York, Scottsdale and Los Angeles for cutting-edge cosmetic procedures. Dr. Meadows quickly became recognized in North Georgia for his patient care and excellent cosmetic outcomes performing more than 6,000 cosmetic procedures. In 2009, Dr. Meadows was invited to join a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship with world-renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Jim English. This opportunity is a great honor and allowed Dr. Meadows to achieve double board certification in both Gynecology and Cosmetic Surgery. With over 1,000 cases performed in 2009 alone, this fellowship broadened Dr. Meadows' expertise in body and facial cosmetic surgery. Dr. Meadows and his wife, Kathryn, have chosen to give back to the community by starting a non-profit foundation, The Surgical Hope Foundation. They reside in Clarkesville, Georgia with their two children.
