MGM Transformer Company is a producer and marketer of transformers. The company produces transformers in seven major categories, including 600 volt dry type (in stock general purpose and custom special purpose), dry type substation, dry type drives insulation, liquid filled substation and liquid filled drives isolation. MGM Transformer Company was established in 1975 as a manufacturer of dry transformers. In 1982, the company acquired Sierra Transformer Company and introduced liquid units to its product line. MGM Transformer opened a 120,000-square foot satellite manufacturing plant in 1991. The company maintains warehouse operations in more than 20 major cities throughout the United States.
