Ohio State Bar Association, founded in 1880, is a voluntary association, and it offers its membership to those individuals who have been admitted to the practice of law. Located in Columbus, Ohio, it also offers membership to law school students and legal assistants sponsored by Ohio State Bar Association members. The association represents more than 25,000 Ohio lawyers and judges, and over 5,000 legal assistants and law student associate members. Ohio State Bar Association focuses on enhancing the science of jurisprudence, promotes improvement of the law and administration of justice, and upholds integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession.
