Mount Carmel College of Nursing is a private and Catholic institution that was founded in 1903. The college s academic curriculum includes bachelor s and master s degree programs in nursing, registered nurses-to-bachelor of science in nursing completion program, a second degree accelerated program and a post master's certificate in nursing education. The college is affiliated with Mount Carmel Hospitals. Additionally, the college has acute-care hospitals, a drug abuse center, a nursing and rehabilitation center and a psychiatric facility. Mount Carmel College also operates community-based agencies and a local elementary school. The college is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Association.
