I read online reviews and still bought from American Freight because they were by far the least expensive store. I Paid for my sectional and it was delivered the same day without any problems. I think most people only post reviews when there is a problem. Don't expect the world from these guys, and you won't be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I bought furnitue over a year ago and they told us that we could keep it there as long as we wanted because we decided not to move at the time. So we moved back in September. We got our sectional and table with chairs but they have run us around for 6 months saying our otoman and end tables are not in! We have called every week for 6 months. So, we talk to them this weekend and now they say that since it has been so long we cannot have the furniture that WE PAID FOR! They also said that in the computer it shows that we picked it up. Clearly we haven't picked it up or we wouldn't have called every week for 6 months! These people are liars and crooks! We've given them our money and they just took it and ran! NEVER BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!!!

Only takes credit cards and cash for immediate possession of your merchandise. If you write a check, your merchandise will be on hold. Not a problem if you are willing to wait it out. Trust issues within that business. Need a check scanning machine, so checks can be accepted.
A horrible experience. The salesman said that my sectional and recliner was readily available and could be delivered that same day. Not five minutes after I had paid in full and driven away from the store, I received a call from said salesperson, informing me that only half of the sectional was in stock and asked if it was ok to receive the rest in a short amount of time. Frustrated, but in a hurry, I agreed. Later that day, the delivery company called me, explaining that the available piece of the sectional had a large tear in it and asked if I was still interested in it. I told them no thanks, and fervently called the store to cancel my sectional order. Later, once the recliner arrived, I sat in the chair to fully enjoy a comfortable lounging, when to my surprise, the piece snapped at the reclining hinge due to poor craftsmanship. I highly recommend that you spend your hard earned money elsewhere. This store sells cheap furniture in every sense of the word.

I have been reading the reviews that have been posted, and all I can say, is the store I have been dealing with for almost 2 yrs now, Is GREAT.... The customer service, the professionalism of the staff, and I didn't have to wait to receive my furniture. They have a fun atmosphere, and the store is very clean. I WILL BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.....I GUESS YOU MUST HAVE CHOSEN THE WRONG LOCATION TO BUY.....FT WAYNE.

DO NOT buy from this store!!! We bought a sofa and recliner and were told we'd be "next in line" for it when it came in...(they said it would be in the next week)... they had our money and it has now been over 2 months! we have been getting the "back order" run around from them for weeks! Thank goodness we didn't sell our couch like we had first thought. We had a delivery date set for the day before Father's day (June 16th) It is now JULY 16th and we still have not heard about our couch... We were told we can not "apply" for a refund until 30 days past our original delivery date. I am about ready to get 6 on your side over there!!! Also, do NOT let them deliver to you. Our friends had them charge double delivery because the couch came in after their love seat and they wanted to come out twice to deliver it... You are better off renting your own U-haul for 20 bucks from an area store and getting your stuff yourself, right from the back of the store..
Bought a sectional from this store, paid in full, salesperson stated delivery the following Saturday and they did not show nor call. I called the store, the manager stated the sectional was on backorder (should have been stated up front when we purchased because since we were thinking it would arrive that Saturday), we had already gotten rid of our living room furniture. Called again after another week, was told it was still on backorder, would not be in for another 2 weeks. Called back in 2 weeks, the manager stated it would not be in for another 2 weeks. We called around the other locations and they had plenty in stock, so we called back to the Morse location and requested a transfer, or a refund. It took another couple days, a couple store visits and a couple more calls to get the couch, but in all it was over 5 weeks from the time we paid to the time we finally got the merchandise. They lack honesty, communication skills and customer service..will not buy again.
This is the second time I have done business with this company. The first time was years ago and the service was horrible, but I thought things would have improved by now. It has not! I purchased a table and I needed express delivery because of an open house the next day. The table arrived very very late for my open house and it wasn't put together! The following day when we began assembly, the hardware needed to put the table together was missing! I called the store and offered to come and pick up the hardware. A couple of days later when we arrived at the store we stood around for over twenty minutes and watched numerous individuals ignore us. They couldn't find any hardware for my table as no one ordered any. To top it off the store manager got into a verbal altercation with me when I demanded a refund for the poor service I had received. In order to get this resolved, I had to call several stores looking for the number for the corporate office as no one wanted to give it to me.
