Diamet, located in Columbus, Ind., supplies powder metallurgy products for a variety of manufacturing companies throughout the United States. The company s products include valve timing components, oiless bearings, suspension components, pump components, sprockets and engine components. Its customers include General Motors, Ford, Showa, Asmo, Afco, US Tsubaki and MEAA. Diamet was founded in 1988 and began production in 1989. In 2002, the company received the MPIF Ferrous Award of Distinction for a random rotor assembly used in a vane-style automotive transmission fluid pump.
