Membership was cancelled, but they continue to charge my account. The bank is very helpful has refunded my charges and is pursuing the matter. Cancellation was in writing and faxed to the administrative office, Club Administrative Services with confirmation. three months later I continue to receive account drafts from Fitness for Women. I call this theft!

I have been dealing with these incompetents since Dec 2006, trying to simply get my membership cancelled and for them to quit deducting my gym fee (which is/was being deducted jointly with by spouse's) while leaving my spouse's monthly charge intact. Apparently this is a very tough thing for them to handle. Apparently they also can't manage to quit charging a member after they've cancelled said membership (and after I've already received a cancellation confirmation notice via mail), instead continuing to charge for two more months before I got assertive about matter. We've managed to make it through one corrected month now and they just charged our bank account for the wrong amount again this month by almost the full amount of my membership. Furthermore, they don't handle matters promptly, nor do they return calls promptly, nor do they answer their phone extensions. Tell your gym today to drop this "business" from handling the gym's backoffice billing and/or administrative affairs

My draft was continued even though they stated the papers were sent to cancel this draft. Very bad professionalism, dishonest and then stated we owed a $50 cancellation fee. My plan is to pursue this complaint with newspaper letters and word of mouth business ethics of Golds Gym in Auburn/Opelika and American Club in Columbus GA.
