Established in 1997, Cornerstone Christian School is for students in grades kindergarten through 12, and is a ministry of the Bethel Baptist Church. Its academic curriculum includes Spanish, sign language, computer science, French, English, math, social studies, and science. It also offers various extracurricular and sporting programs, including football, cheerleading, dance team, volleyball, girl s and boy s basketball, baseball, softball, track, girls and boys power lifting, and twirlers. The school s students regularly compete in local, state and national competitions, including district and state science fairs, creative writing festivals, University of Alabama Humanities Essay Competition, Alabama Junior Beta Club Convention in Montgomery, and Reader s Digest Word Power Competition. It also offers creative writing classes, math Olympics, and spelling bee competitions. Cornerstone Christian School is located in Columbiana, Ala.
