Located in Columbia, S,C., Nursery Road Elementary School is a member of the School District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties. It has an enrollment of more than 650 students and employs over 120 people. The school has a media center that sponsors various activities. Its chalk program is designed to support the summer reading program. The school s library also organizes book fairs and certificate parties. Additionally, the school offers supplies, such as pencils, crayon, note books, erasers, glue sticks, tissues, wipes, bags and markers. The Nursery Road Elementary School consists of a student improvement council that includes elected parents, teachers, appointed community residents and ex-officio members. Its council assists the principal with preparation of the school renewal plan and budget. It also recommends curriculum standards, and establishes and evaluate school goals.
