Division of Fire and Life Safety, a part of S.C. Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, is a fire protection agency that offers life safety training sessions and emergency care services. The division provides firefighting technical assistance, urban search and rescue services and protection from hazardous material disasters. Its public works and engineering services include damage assessment, safety evaluation and inspection. Division of Fire and Life Safety has a staff of residential builders commissioners, contractors licensing and architectural examiner board members and a building codes council member. South California Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation offers consultation, inspection, training and disaster assistance services.
