Founded in 1909, Carolina Children's Home is one of the largest residential treatment facilities for abused, abandoned and neglected children in South Carolina. It is a private, nonprofit organization that offers a variety of programs and services to meet the needs of children and families. It provides housing programs for more than 100 children. The facility organizes individual treatment and structured activities that focus on nurturing self-esteem, overcoming abuse and neglect issues, and improving emotional and behavioral development in children. Carolina Children's Home organizes various cultural, sporting and entertainment events, such as ballet, basketball games, plays and concerts. The facility is located in Columbia, S.C.
