In 1980 Tom Brown designed, what is known most craft organizations as the most sturdy and child friendly rocking horse made today. He still handcrafts these sturdy rocking horses today in a small shop in Columbia, SC. In recent years he has branched out to design and craft rocking college mascots and rocking family pets. To the best of our knowledge he is the only one in the USA that will build a rocking college mascot or a rocking pet from your photograph. All of his designs are very child friendly. They will not tip over or break. Designed for a child from one to seven, many times you will find parents rocking on these sturdy rocking horses. After all, they hold 1,000 pounds. The rocking horses are 3' long, 30"high, and 16" wide. They are crafted from 4 quarter Canadian spruce and weigh 45 pounds. Each rocking horse is finished like fine furniture. The rocking horses carry a lifetime guarantee. To date many of these rocking horses are now being road by second and third generation children.
