Brandi R. Newsome, MD, is a board-certified pulmonary medicine physician at Prisma Health and an assistant professor of internal medicine at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She treats a wide variety of pulmonary disorders and specializes in pulmonary sarcoidosis. Her current research interests focus on lung cancer screening and survivorship. Dr. Newsome received her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed residency and fellowship training at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, both in Columbia. She is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease.
