The Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital is a teaching and medical service facility located in Columbia, Mo. It is a part of College of Veterinary Medicine at University of Missouri. The center provides a clinical and teaching laboratory for training students. It also offers specialty services to animal owners in Missouri and throughout the Midwest. The hospital features various areas, including emergency medicine and surgery, ophthalmology, neurology, oncology, cardiovascular medicine, orthopedic surgery and several imaging techniques. It additionally offers preventive care and treatment for routine problems to animals. The Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association and the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International.
