Here is a story I will enjoy sharing for years to come. At a U.S. Bank in Columbia, MO I asked a teller if they provided Medallion Guarantee Stamp. She said yes but only to acct holders. I said I will need to open an account then. She said because that service is so valuable that I probably could not have an account just to use that service. "An unfortunate attitude," I said. A fellow Marine vet was next to me being served by another teller. I paused to visit with him and swap a few stories about where we had served. During our conversation, the teller who had denied me an account said to me "we have a premium service program for vets" (or something like that) as if had she known I was a vet then I would have been treated differently. I simply said "that ship has already sailed" and finished my visit with the other vet before departing. Make what you will out of this story but it is interesting how corporations (and people) treat others in everyday situations.
