Established in 1962, Columbia Surgical Associates provides specialty surgical care services to the people of mid-Missouri. It has a staff of board-certified surgery specialists, medical assistants and nurses. The group offers treatment options for a variety of health problems, including hernias, benign and malignant tumors, and breast, gallbladder and intestinal tract diseases. Its vein center offers evaluation and treatment solutions for lower extremity vein disorders and performs surgical and nonsurgical procedures. Columbia Surgical Associates also treats aneurysm, ulcerative colitis, hemorrhoid, colorectal cancer, and carotid artery, inflammatory bowel, peripheral vascular, gastroesophageal reflux and Crohn s diseases. In addition, the group performs bariatric and minimally invasive surgical procedures. Columbia Surgical Associates sponsors an annual educational seminar for primary care physicians.
