Columbia Missourian is a community news organization directed by professional editors. It is staffed by Missouri School of Journalism's students for reporting, design, copyediting, information graphics, photography and multimedia work. The students and faculty at the Missouri School of Journalism produce print and digital versions of the newspaper. Its Saturday edition, Weekend Missourian, is distributed free to more than 40,000 homes in Columbia and surrounding subdivisions. Its MyMissourian.com is a citizen-driven Web site by which readers write their own stories for Weekend Missourian. Its eMprint edition is a downloadable PDF publication that combines the format of a print newspaper with the functionality of a Web site.
