I highly recommend Krav Maga Md (Columbia, MD) to anyone who is serious about learning self defense, improving your fitness or just wanting to get into shape. The children's classes are wonderful. My daughter has learned more in one month of Krav than two years plus in a kung fu class. The adult classes are intense and both men and women are welcome. If you are looking for a "fern bar" experience (one with smoothies and just for show) then this isn't the place for you. If you really want to learn how to protect yourself in all sorts of conditions then this is it. The staff is friendly, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The trainers are unbelievable. They give great feedback to improve you and help you. They are always available for questions or concerns. The bathroom/shower/locker room facilities are immaculate. They have lots of towels, shampoo, hair dryers etc... for those coming right after work and want to clean up before going home or other appointments. Great place.
