Chinese Social Service Center has been serving over 2500 clients since 2003 in the Chinese community in not only in Twin Cities Metro areas, but in greater MN, e.g. Bensen, St Cloud, Mankato, Rochester, etc, . It provides social services in various areas: from financial assistance, senior to children, crisis intervention, e.g. finding domestic violence shelters, provide counseling in parental skills, family guidance to running 5 programs: Senior program plus Aduld day care; After-school and Summer Youth program; ESL program: offer 2 classes at 2 sites for 8 years; Health Education program; Home care service. It has become a major resource center in social service area in the Chinese community in entire MN. Particularly due to the limit of funding, majority of our work have been done on voluntary basis. Recently we start to contract with DHS for providing services for our clients. We hope we can contract with more state and county agencies.to serve our clients better.
