I have lived here for seven years with my family. This place has gone from above average to absolutely dreadful. Management is a revolving door, same with maintenance and the owners. They say no cats, but many neighbors have them. Dealing with Robin is an absolute headache. The managers hound me for my children making noises, which is to be expected from children. The place is covered with trash at times. It was built in the early 40s, with the plumbing and ghetto exterior electrical wires to show. Rent constantly goes up, and with the new owner, any repair is ENTIRELY out of pocket, but we don't have the money to move to a better place at this time, so hopefully nothing serious happens. Insurance is required for $300K minimum, not including your stuff. There's been bugs, rodents, numerous water leaks from antique pipes, and cable is definitely not capable of high speed (Comcast/CenturyLink). A few apartments down, there is now an active drug dealer living there, and dogs bark constantly. Nights are always noisy because half the residents cars are half-broken down and loud as hell. While free heat is advertised, it's lukewarm at best, and you'll wake up chilled like an ice cube. Shared laungry is a plus, but the machines are not even close to the job, people abuse them, and they are rarely cleaned or maintained. The grills are rusty and seem to be a hundred years old.
On the bright side, it's close to public transit and neighbors tend to keep to themselves.
Do yourself a favor, STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.
