Established in 1953, Taylor Elementary School is a part of Colorado Springs School District 11, which offers educational opportunities for students in kindergarten through grade 12. Colorado Springs School District 11also governs Irving Middle School, Coronado High School, Palmer High School and Buena Vista Elementary School. The district operates administration, curriculum and business departments. Taylor Elementary School has a parent-teacher association that conducts regular conferences. The school additionally operates a student council and computer club. It conducts reading, writing and mathematics sessions.
