Care and support for each step you choose

General Info

Hospice care is about living - helping you find comfort, dignity and fulfillment at one of the most important times of life. Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care (PPHPC) is the only community-based, not-for-profit hospice provider in El Paso County. We have been the community leader in hospice and palliative care, founding the hospice movement in the Pikes Peak region in 1980. When it comes to expertise and compassionate personal attention, you can count on Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care. We are dedicated to delivering, influencing, and enhancing high-quality end-of-life care. Our patients receive care in the comfort of their own homes, long term care and assisted living facilities, and our own acute care inpatient unit. Care teams include physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, nurse aides, counselors, chaplains, pharmacists and trained volunteers -- all of whom specialize in end-of-life care. We focus on enhancing comfort and helping you life to the fullest. We provide care and support to holistically address your physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Our comprehensive team of hospice and palliative experts provide medical care, specialized pain management, and emotional and spiritual support for both patients and their loved ones. Grief support is available to family members for a full 13 months following the death of a loved one. PPHPC even offers a specialized children's grief counseling program. In 2003 PPHPC opened our own pharmacy, Palliative Pharmacy of Pikes Peak, to provide specialized pharmaceutical care for our hospice patients. A notable feature of the pharmacy is the fact that we serve only hospice and palliative care patients, and consequently furnish the highest quality of care. Our pharmacy offers the ability to quickly address patients changing needs to control pain and symptoms. Hospice benefits are available through Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans. We can help determine your Medicare/Medicaid eligibil
