Founded in 1978, the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is an international nonprofit educational association. Located in Colorado Springs, Colo., it focuses on strength training for athletic performance by providing applications for new research findings. Besides, the association offers one of the latest techniques, conditioning practices and injury prevention methods. It serves nearly 30,000 members in 52 countries, a majority of these from the sport science, athletic, allied health and fitness industries. Additionally, the association also provides its own line of fitness apparel.
