The Family Karate Center is a beautiful place to train with highly qualified instructors. Children get to train alongside their parents. Lots of learning occurs!

We have been training at FKC for about 6 years and it has been a most positive experience. Not only is the staff & Mr Haynes great, the classes are set up to meet any schedule, the training area is huge and it is like everyone is one big family! THIS IS A GREAT PLACE FOR FAMILIES!!! Including parents!

About 3 years ago my 9 year old daughter said she wanted to learn karate. A friend suggested the Family Karate Center. My daughter and I went to see a class and she asked if we could start our training the next day. It has been 3 years, many awesome memories, and lots of new friends later and we love every minute. I love it so much I continually thank my daughter for getting us involved. The word family is not the first word of the business name by mistake. This school is about families teaching and learning together. What an incredible environment. I can't say enough great things about the school. If you are reading this, I hope we see you soon at the Family Karate Center.

I had been in and out of karate when I was young but never was able to stick with it partially because of the instructors or the location of the school. As an older student I decided to try it again and was lucky enough to have found the Family Karate Center. The instructors are amazing, provide constructive criticism, really care about their students and, amazingly enough, have never laughed at my attempts to perform a jump, spinning kick. For us older adults, the staff goes to great lengths to help us understand techniques and make allowances for physical limitations. I doubt that I would have earned my black belt at another school. The staff continually encouraged and gently pushed me forward when I doubted my own abiltities. In addition to karate (Shotokan) the Family Karate Center also provides instruction in kick boxing and Arnis or Fillipino stick fighting. Truely a wonderful place for anyone interested in learning a martial art and in building self confididence.

11 years ago my son wanted to be a "Karate Guy" so my wife placed him in the Jay Haynes Family Karate Center. She watched for a few classes and decided she could just stretch and do a few classes with our son. Then my daughter wanted to try, then my other daughter wanted in. I found myself in class with my family having a great time. As our kids got older, the family activity of karate was something we did together at home, at the dojo, and anywhere we seemed to be. It brought us closer together and boosted the confidence of my kids as well as my wife. Great exercise, physical skills that could be used if ever needed, but most of all a way of thinking about my fellow man. I call it "The family Center, Where You Can Do Karate " A great staff that is willing to help with MY skill level and not expect me to be the next Bruce Lee, instead to be the best me. FUN FUN FUN!
Hello, my children, my wife and I have all taken classes at the Family Karate Center. Over the last 6 years my youngest has earned his black belt, the next oldest his brown, with the rest of us somewhere in the middle. Kyoshi Haynes and his staff are wonderful instructors! They make learning fun as well as challenging. The current location is much larger, with plenty of space for individual instruction. Classes are available for all ages, from toddler to adult, with most classes showing a wide range of ages. Classes are given all through the day, starting around noon. All in all, the Family Karate Center is a great place to take the family to learn together.

I have to give a wonderful review to Jay Haynes and the Family Karate Center. We started going there about six years ago. I have three daughters and one was getting bullied and teased at school. After looking and looking we found FKC and knew it was the place for us!!! All three of my daughters went to classes, had a blast and made alot of friends. My daughter that was having the problems became more confident about herself and learned how to handle the bullies and teasing. My two oldest daughters became black belts and my youngest a fifth degree brown belt. I was sad the day we had to pull my younger two out...my own health reasons...but my oldest is still there to this day as a teacher. Not only is this a place to learn karate, it's a place to make wonderful friends and be in a fun enviroment.
