Provided by YP.comFirst review didnt submit so sorry if it submits twice. Long story short- we gave a thirty day notice to end our membership- and they want to continue to bill us for another thirty days.
Stay away from this place.

Provided by YP.comUNPROFESSIONAL - who owns this place
This place is very conveniently located but their practices & business ethics have a lot to be desired.
Phone calls are NEVER returned and if someone actually answers, information given is different depending on each person you talk to. The girls at the front need some serious training & not on how to just look cute and giggle. CALL THE CUSTOMER BACK, THAT'S HOW YOU GET BUSINESS!!!!
They have a one sheet stating two memberships - whatever you are offered, get an initial or signature of person/sales/management that offered you the special price or deal as they will deny any such offer at a later date. You might need this later if filing a complaint. They will deny everything.
General manager Clay Halstead is a joke. Makes promises and renegs on the spot. He threw his own sales team under the bus, stating that they have not been trained properly and the information they have provided is incorrect. But when it came to resolving an issue, he decided to go back on everything he said.
BEWARE!!!! Giving your checking account or debit card to the place will be the BIGGEST MISTAKE you ever make.
Whoever owns this place is well hidden as are the many negative reviews this place has received. There is a marketing team but not sure they give a damn either. With a little research you CAN find them.
Going to Fitness 19...all membership choices are in writing. Specials are in writing with clearly stated 'Start' and 'End' date of special. No ambiguity as with this place.

Provided by YP.comDo not patronize this business. I cancelled my membership in writing in March 2012. They have continued to bill me for May, June, July, and August 2012. I called to ask and was told that they had nothing on file in regard to my membership cancellation and that I would have to resubmit in writing. I filled out the form and both emailed it and mailed it through the USPS cancelling my membership. I intentionally did not check the box authorizing an additional month's dues because they had already wrongfully collected from me. Yesterday, they charged my bank account again. I called today to ask for a refund and Clay, the manager, gave me a flat "No." I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau, Chase bank, and I contacted the parent company of Max Fitness. Clay does not care about anything but his bank account. Sure the location is clean and the equipment is new. They also offer a cheap membership. But ask yourself if you really want people who are so cavalier with member paperwork to have access to your account numbers, identifying personal information, etc. Clay is a crook, plain and simple, and cares more for lining his pocket than for being a decent human being and a respectable small business owner. Do not give him any more business.
