Old Books, Like Old Friends, Wear Well.A family-owned, used and rare bookshop established in 1946.We buy and sell fine, rare and used books, plus affordable books for school and leisure reading. Our dollar book carts are stocked with new titles every day. We are exclusive distributors of the Pikes Peak Library District History Series, including Doctor at Timberline, Lightning in His Hand, Legends, Labors and Loves of William Jackson Palmer, and more. We carry a wide variety of general non-fiction titles and specialize in the classics, Colorado and Western Americana, military history (including the American Revolution, Civil War, WWI and WWII, Korea & Vietnam), poetry, religion, nautical, music, art, biography, fine bindings, math & science, children's books, cooking and more. Additional services include certified appraisals starting at $10 per book, dust jacket Mylar, archival mending, and collection development. We are located in the old north end of Colorado Springs, one block east of Penrose Hospital, at the corner of Weber Street and Madison.
