University Flowers History With a little luck and a lot of hard work, Agnes Aaron started a florist and flower shop business in Houston, Texas that has remained family-owned and operated for over 20 years. Along with the mid 1980's came an opportunity for change. Agnes and her husband owned and operated a real estate brokerage, but as the market crashed it was time to cultivate a new livelihood. With her background of strong sales skills and her talent to do wonders with whatever she put her hands to, Agnes soon found that flowers were selling better than real estate at the time. She closed the real estate brokerage and opened up a full service florist and garden center. As an aggressive salesperson with charming character, Agnes went directly out to the corporate environment to solicit for customers and kicked off her first year of business with major clients such as radio stations, soda manufacturers, and car dealerships. Before long, our original florist was in full swing. As time went and her family grew older, the children found themselves cleaning the floors and processing flowers, then handling sales calls, producing product and eventually managing the business as well. As the business grew the whole family became involved. The two sons, Bradley and Bryan along with their sister, Alicia all had their duties. They have all greatly contributed to growing the business. Over the years, the florist has expanded its locations and acquired other reputable and well established shops. Agnes continues to build the business just as she started it with hard work, dedication and a commitment to quality and service. Today, the business is still owned and operated by Agnes Aaron and her family. You'll find them in and around the store on a daily basis ensuring the florist is operating with the quality and service you've come to expect for over 20 years.

How many people use the five-star ratings for shopping? I know this is priority for me when considering a purchase. I've been doing business for years with University Flowers and it is long overdue that I post a review about their products, services, and personnel. As an employee of TAMU, it was easy to see why they were a preferred vendor. And now, as owner of cakes & more, I often need their flowers. On a recent wedding cake the client requested red roses. The flowers provided lasted almost a full month, were large red blooms, fragrant, and my customer raved at how long they were useful even after the reception. There are always multiple people at the shop ready to wait on me anytime I visit. Thank you Tammy and Brad. I really appreciate doing business with you and your staff!

When sending flowers you never really know what you are going to get! You always hope that what's delivered is what you paid for. I've had several companies let me down over the years until I found University Flowers!! Their flower arrangements go ABOVE and BEYOND. Always creating something new and creative (not just flowers in a vase). Even when I find myself needing flowers the day of they are on time and BEAUTIFUL.
