The State of the Heart Hospice is a locally based organization that provides a range of home health care services for individuals and their families. Founded in 1981, it addresses the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs of patients. The nonprofit organization operates in western Ohio and eastern Indiana and offers bereavement support solutions. The State of the Heart Hospice also organizes a children s camp, Camp BEARable. It provides various volunteer opportunities. The rural-based organization additionally offers grief and loss support and hospice care services. The State of the Heart Hospice serves more than 100 patients on a daily basis.
