Capital Imaging Associates, established in 1985, is one of the leading diagnostic imaging centers in New York. It provides general X-ray, fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound, dual energy X-ray absorptiometry scanning used in evaluating osteoporosis, computerized axial tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. The center works with Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston to help establish guidelines for the T and Z scores used in DXA scanning. Its staff is accredited by the American College of Radiology that requires ongoing medical education. The center uses mammogram comfort pads and the R2 ImageChecker System, approved by the Federal Drug Administration. Capital Imaging Associates has branch locations in Latham, Albany and Cropseyville, N.Y.
